François Bauchet studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Bourges. In 1983, his first project entitled “It’s also a chair”, was presented at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs. In 1987, he participated in Documenta 8 in Kassel, Germany. From 1984 to 1998, he worked with the Neotu gallery. François Bauchet combines scenography, interior architecture and designer projects such as the offices of the Fondation Cartier in Jouy-en-Josas, the windows and the furnishing of the reception room for the Vassivière art center -en-Limousin, and the reception room of the Museum of Art and Industry of Saint-Etienne. He also created the furniture for the Jeu de Paume café, as well as the furniture for the Azay-le-Rideau castle park.
